We are proud to announce that Celtic Cultural Alliance (CCA), organizers of the annual Celtic Classic festival in the Lehigh Valley, have named the O'Grady-Quinlan Academy of Irish Dance the "Official Irish Dance School of Celtic Cultural Alliance." The CCA plays a key role in promoting Celtic culture in the Lehigh Valley through festivals, events, scholarships and financial support. The formalization of our relationship with CCA is a natural progression of our friendship and collaboration with the CCA over the years, and will ensure that our dancers have even more opportunities to share their art form with the community through performance at the region's very top events over the coming years. We are proud to form this alliance with such an important organization, and we look forward to working closer with CCA moving forward. Our first appearance as the CCA's "Official Irish Dance School" will be at Celtic Classic 2005 from September 23 - 25, so mark your calendars! See www.celticfest.org for more information and our performance schedule for this year.

"Step Fiesta 2005!", August 17-25, 2005.  We are excited to announce that 20 dancers from the O'Grady-Quinlan Academy will perform throughout             México this summer as part of our first-ever international tour.  Stops include:  the ancient Mayan city of Mérida, with its rich cultural and dance tradition and oldest cathedral in the Western hemisphere; the Caribbean village of Akumal, a beautiful and famous nesting site for giant sea turtles; and the bustling city of Cancun.  Tentative danceouts include at the U.S. Embassy, an outdoor show at the Merida Cultural Festival, and even some Irish pubs/restaurants across the region (not to mention a few impromptu danceouts on the beach!)  The dancers look forward to this opportunity to experience a different culture, make new friends, practice their Spanish, share their gift of dance, and act as embassadors not only of Irish Dance, but of the LV and the US.  Buena suerte...y buen viaje!!

If you are interested in participating, or you have any ideas for a team name or fund raising please contact Kelci at krae@fast.net. The registration fee is $10. The walk is really a lot of fun, so we hope y’all can come and join us.
